Is your community group looking for something different for its next event?

A bird of prey display is a great way to attract people to your community event. In the past, we have travelled as far afield as Port Campbell, Hamilton, Bendigo, Melbourne and Yarra Junction to present for Landcare, Rotary and ‘Friends of…’ groups. The following information on the types of displays on offer is a guide only, so please contact us directly to discuss your event and receive a quote.

When: We can offer a variety of displays for your event between March and the end of November. Please note that we don’t offer raptor displays during the hot summer months (December – February) when the birds are moulting and hot conditions can make travelling stressful.

Pricing: The prices below are a guide only (starting from $220) and what we charge depends on the number of birds involved and the distance we travel. Travel is charged at a rate of 80c per kilometre for the return journey from our location south of Ballarat. No travel costs are charged within the Ballarat region.

In addition, you will find out how we can all help to protect our unique birds of prey and their habitat.  Cost: $400 + travel

Full Raptor Display  Come and meet a variety of birds (2-3 Falcons, 1 Owl and a Little Eagle or Wedge-tailed Eagle) from the Leigh Valley Hawk and Owl Sanctuary as we showcase the agility and the superb adaptions of these efficient flying predators in this personalised encounter. Learn how an owl can catch prey even in complete darkness and how a Kestrel uses its ‘super powers’ to locate prey. Meet an eagle face to beak and marvel at the adaptions that make it such an awe-inspiring predator. In addition, you will find out how we can all help to protect our unique birds of prey and their habitat. Exact bird roster for the day may vary with availability.  Cost: $900 + travel

Note: Please understand that any free flying of raptors is entirely at our discretion. We conduct an onsite risk assessment before allowing our precious birds free flight in shows. The weather, the presence of wild raptors, infrastructure or landscape features that may create a collision risk are all taken into account on the day. Regardless of whether we free fly the birds or not, a close up encounter with a bird of prey is an experience your audience will never forget.
