[BOCA] – now merged) has an outstanding website containing informative descriptions of almost every bird that exists in Australia. It also has a range of information, such as: suggestions for bird watching locations, projects that everyone can get involved in across the nation, scientific based information and publications, and ways to get directly involved in ‘bird loving’ activities.

This is Birdlife Australia’s partner organisation that has a global focus on bird conservation and information.  An ideal site to explore if you’re interested in getting an overview of bird populations, behaviour, impacts and scientific studies related to birds worldwide.
