The following websites provide information about Victorian wildlife rescue services.  If you find an injured animal on your travels or around your property, the details of these organisations are useful to have saved in your phone.

BADGAR Emergency Wildlife Rescue

This organisation is owned and operated by Greendale Wildlife Shelter.  BADGAR offers a 24 hour rescue service for injured wild animals.  Their role is to retrieve the animal and transport it to the closest wildlife shelter.

We have worked closely with BADGAR over the years and they are a highly trained, extremely dedicated and committed team of people.

Their direct number is 1300 BADGAR (223427)

Wildlife Victoria

This is another volunteer organisation committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of injured wild animals within the state of Victoria. Their mission is “to protect, rescue, rehabilitate, and release Victorian sick, injured or orphaned native wildlife through a network of wildlife rescuers, carers and other volunteers.”

We have received many birds of prey through Wildlife Victoria since we started the shelter.

Their direct number is 13 000 94535

Other rescue organisations

There are other organisations within Victoria that perform similar roles to the two named above.  To find the one closest to you, contact your local veterinary practice.
